Classic Car Insurance
You treat your classic car differently than the car you drive every day.
You’re extra careful while out cruising in your classic car. No one will ever find a stray French fry beneath the seat. When it’s not on the road, you’re sure to keep your classic car in a safe place. Your insurance should be different, too.
We love classic cars as much as you do. If the love of your life is a 1957 Chevy or a 1965 Mustang, we know your vintage beauty deserves special treatment. You’ve taken care of your car well and we will too. We specialize in covering antique and classic cars, modified collector cars, reproductions, replicas, restorations, and modern classic cars. Have peace of mind knowing your classic is well-protected and that you’re prepared for the unexpected with FirstMark Classic Car Insurance.
Our carriers cover all kinds of classic cars, trucks and other vehicles, including antique autos, collector and vintage cars, some modified and newer vehicles (sometimes called “modern classics” or “future classics”), in addition to motorcycles and many different kinds of specialty vehicles.
Many of our classic car carriers like Hagerty, have claims adjusters that undergo training in classic car repair, and have parts specialists who can access the original replacement parts for every vehicle they insure.
Custom build a classic car insurance policy by choosing the coverage options that are right for you and your classic car. With an average cost of less than a dollar a day, FirstMark classic car insurance is surprisingly affordable. Talk to an agent about ways to save on your classic car insurance coverage.
Included with Every Policy
Every FirstMark Classic Car Insurance policy includes coverage to help you keep your classic car covered long into its golden years.
Agreed Value Coverage
Regular cars lose their value over time from the adverse effects of wear and tear. Classic, collectible, and vintage cars are a different story. Many increase in value over time. With agreed value classic car insurance, if your car is declared a total loss after being stolen or damaged, you will receive the amount we agreed upon when you took out your policy – all you pay is the deductible.
Go Ahead and Drive
FirstMark allows you to drive your classic car on more than just weekends and holidays. Go ahead and drive up to 10,000 miles per year with our regular use option. Or choose our limited use option if you drive your classic less than 5,000 miles per year.
The More the Merrier
We’ll insure your entire classic car collection, whether you’re a collector of one, three, or even 100.
Popular Coverage Options
Coverage options vary from state to state. Custom build your policy by asking an agent for personal advice about the classic car insurance coverage options available where you live.
We’ll help get you back on the road quickly if you break down. Classic car Roadside Assistance covers towing to the nearest qualified repair shop and other basic emergency services, like changing a flat and delivery of fuel, oil, or other essential fluids. Flatbed tow trucks are also available upon request.
Includes all the benefits of Roadside Assistance plus coverage for expenses like taxi fare and lodging. Also includes protection for personal belongings, including tools and spare parts left or stored in your car.
Personal Property Coverage
Covers damage or theft of your tools from your car.
Standard Coverage Options
FirstMark Classic Car Insurance offers all the same basic coverage options as regular Auto Insurance, including:
- Bodily Injury Liability
- Property Damage Liability
- Personal Injury Protection (PIP) and Medical Payments (MedPay)
- Uninsured and Underinsured Motorist (UM/UIM)
Classic Car Insurance Discounts & Savings

Deter Thieves with Anti-Theft Devices
Qualify for a discount when your classic car is equipped with an audible alarm or a disabling device that renders the fuel, ignition or starting system inoperative.
Just on Weekends and Holidays
You can drive your classic any time you want. But when you drive less than 5,000 miles a year, you’ll qualify for limited use rates. You probably have another daily use car but like to drive your classic car on weekend tours, leisurely fall trips, and to special events.
Choose a Higher Deductible
Raising the amount you pay out-of-pocket for losses will reduce how much you pay for your policy premium. For example, if you have a $500 deductible, you’ll need to pay the first $500 of a covered loss. A higher deductible generally lowers your premium, but increases the amount you must pay out-of-pocket when you file a claim.
What types of classic cars does FirstMark insure?
We specialize in covering classic cars, modified collector cars, reproductions, replicas, restorations, modern classic cars and antique autos. Cars we insure are unique and have intrinsic value. They also tend to retain or increase in value over time.
What types of classic cars are not insured by FirstMark?
Our classic car insurance does not cover kit cars, restoration cars rebuilt to less than 50 percent, cars designed for racing or cars with a jet or nitrous oxide engine.
How old does my car need to be to qualify as classic?
Classic cars must be at least 10 years old and can include modified antiques and limited production cars. Modern classic cars must be limited production cars less than 10 years old. Antique cars must be at least 25 years old and have no modifications or have been restored to their original condition. Other restrictions may apply. Ask your local independent agent if your car can be insured with FirstMark classic car insurance.
Do I have to keep my classic car in a garage?
Yes. In order to qualify for classic car coverage, your car must be stored in an enclosed, locking garage or storage facility.
I run a classic car limousine service. Can I get coverage?
FirstMark insures classic cars used for personal use only. We do not cover classic cars used for any delivery, business, or commercial purpose.
Is there an annual mileage limit?
FirstMark offers the option of regular use coverage, which allows you to drive your car for up to 10,000 miles per year. Restricted use coverage allows you to drive up to 5,000 miles per year.
What does agreed value mean?
Prior to issuing your policy, we work closely with you to come to an agreement on the value of your car, based on your car’s market value and condition. If your car is declared a total loss after being stolen or damaged, you will receive that amount. All you pay is the deductible. It’s a good idea to review your policy on an annual basis to ensure the agreed value is still accurate.
How is the agreed value of my car determined?
The agreed value of your classic car can be approximated by consulting various sources including vehicle appraisals, the duPont Registry™, ClassicCars, and Buy Classic Cars.
Where can I drive my car?
FirstMark classic car insurance will cover you and your car in the continental United States and Canada.
What’s an attendance clause and does FirstMark have one?
An attendance clause requires you to chaperone your classic car whenever it’s out of the garage and being used. We do not have this type of clause in our policies.
How do I make a claim?
Call 1-206-462-3293. Our customer service representatives are ready to answer your questions and guide you through the claims process.
Do I have to insure my other cars or home with FirstMark?
No, your classic car can be insured by itself. However, if you insure your classic and regular auto on the same policy, you can qualify for a multi-car discount.
